A wild night with La Jungle

I received some crappy news. It has something to do with losing my job and having no money and being scared shitless of concepts like the future, but let me hold all that for another post. The thing is, that after that dreaded phone call came in, I gathered my friends, took a bottle of wine along on to the bus to the Video and went to see La Jungle

La Jungle is a young duo from Namen. They mix krautrock, mathrock and post-punk to a confounding sound that feels like a heavy portion of though-love on your eardrums. Also, they make the perfect I’ll-just-dance-to-loud-music-and-don’t-care-about-tomorrow kind of sound, which suited the moment perfectly. With a percussion that goes on strong and fearlessly, together with some firm guitar-riffs and a mesmorizing keyboard, La Jungle puts its audience into a trance-like state of mind after which you have to take a minute to catch your breath again.

These two guys on stage are like a sledgehammer to your brain - making you unable to think about anything else than the now. And right at the time you think they’ve gotten your brain killed, they start playing some groovy shit that has just the right amount of melody to make you dance around like an arsehole. With La Jungle you’re in for a wild concert, with some sharp noise sounds that have to power to sedate you at the one moment and to kick your ass at the other, making them the perfect band for that particular night. At La Jungle's gig, I didn't care about the threat of unpaid bills or the face of my dissappointed parents. I just danced like a savage.

Also, they make cute drawings on your record is you ask nicely.
